Bridging Styles with Ufitia Sagapolutele

Bridging Styles is a platform for selected dance artists to engage in critical, cultural and social topics which apply to dance in Aotearoa and across the globe. The aim is to engage artists with questions which encourage them to talk about how their art form is developing and how it can transcend on to other styles while creating an understanding across the board.

Ufitia 'Tia' Sagapolutele is a University of Auckland dance graduate with a background in hip-hop. Tia's work AVE was performed at the 2017 Pacific Dance Festival to much acclaim. She is a strong advocate in creating opportunities for youth and helping build their confidence and passion in all aspects of the life.

Bridging Styles is brought to you by Dance Aotearoa New Zealand, Matthew Moore and Andrew Cesan. With special thanks to Creative New Zealand and Foundation North.
