2015 World of Dance New Zealand Qualifier Results
On 23 May the Te Rauparaha Arena in Porirua held the first ever New Zealand World of Dance Qualifier.
World of Dance is the world’s fastest growing network with more than 1 million people engaged through it’s digital and social media platforms. The organisation is a global brand focused on the dance community aimed at showcasing various facets of dance to the public.
Talented urban dance teams from across the country competed in Porirua for the opportunity to represent New Zealand at the World of Dance International Championship in Los Angeles.
The results are as follows:
Youth Division
1st - Shique
2nd - Emerge
3rd - Young & Gifted
Upper Division
1st - Prestige
2nd - Black Ink
3rd - Infinite
Best Costume - Reality
Best Theme - Projekt
Crowd Favourite - Black Ink
Judged by an iconic panel which inlcuded Stephen Grey, Elly Pascoe, Rina Shae, Scott Forsyth and Brooke O'Neill (of the O' Neill Twins), it was a fierce competition and is set to be even fiercer at the Los Angeles Championships in August.
The qualifier tour will continue on to the United States, Canada, England, Spain and Japan.
