Exploring Literacy and Numeracy Through Dance
Children communicate easily using non-verbal signals like facial expression, body language and gestures. Many children respond well to kinaesthetic learning, why not bring motivation, energy and new insights into your curriculum work through dance.
Help your students to discover and learn new skills like using movement to explore action words (verbs) or mathematical shapes (triangle, circle, square). Dance uses movement to tell stories and to communicate. Kids will have fun jumping, skipping, moving while learning.
A great professional development opportunity for teachers who want to use dance as a tool for teaching literacy and numeracy skills by using movement.
