DANZ Magazine
DANZ Magazine is the only magazine dedicated to dance in Aotearoa. It aims to reflect the rich diversity of dance in our country, from hip hop to ballet, ballroom to highland dance, contemporary to kapa haka. Dance in New Zealand is vibrant and thriving, in our schools, tertiary education, social dance, cultural dance and the professional sector. The DANZ Magazine is the voice of New Zealand dance and is there to celebrate and document its history. It also reflects the work of DANZ in its support of the dance industry.
Stories of dance companies and prominent dance people are included with regular features on resources on health, best practice, career pathways and the business of dance; articles on developments and trends in all sectors. It encapsulates a snapshot of what’s happening across the country with previews of upcoming events, dance news and reviews of major shows.
It is widely read by people passionate about dance, from professionals to enthusiasts. All DANZ members receive a copy as part of their membership. However, its readership extends beyond membership, as the Magazine is also distributed to the wider community as an advocacy and promotional tool for dance.
The content of the Magazine is decided by an editorial committee. If you would like to put forward an idea for publication contact us at danz@danz.org.nz. To find out the rates for advertising in the DANZ Magazine, click on the rate card below:
