Jacqui has been involved in dance all her life and has worked as a professional dancer, teacher lecturer and dance advocate. Currently she is HOD Dance at Mt Albert Grammar School and Director of The Dance Studio. In 1998 she founded the Boyzdance2 network and company, which has been responsible for promoting dance opportunities for boys and supporting their aspirations. Part of this development was to embrace Hip Hop dance as a way of encouraging boys to try Dance. In 1999 she founded the Dance Studio and this is now one of the largest academies in Auckland teaching all forms of dance . The studio also provides support and rehearsal space for many of the Hip Hop Dance community .
