New Zealand Dance Week
NZ Dance Week 2017 Dates: 22-30 April
New Zealand Dance Week is a national event organised by DANZ aimed to celebrate and elevate the awareness of all forms of dance.
We want to invite all of New Zealand to celebrate dance in their own way and register events with DANZ to become part of a national events register, representing the diversity of dance from Cape Reinga to the Bluff. DANZ will provide umbrella marketing support for all events registered and included in the New Zealand Dance Week programme. The aim of this event is to promote the visibility of dance and create an annual platform for all New Zealanders to become audiences, to participate and enjoy the many physical, spiritual and cultural benefits of dance.
DANZ is encouraging the dance community (professional, educational, recreational) to get involved, so we would like people to think about how they might participate in this nationwide celebration of dance. We would love for organisations, artists, studios and teachers who have events that inspire people to get involved in dance to contact us.
This is a chance to celebrate the work of the many amazing talented dancers and choreographers in New Zealand and is just one way of highlighting the value of dance in our society. Below you will find a link that provides details on how you can get involved and how DANZ will help you. Please think about how you might like to participate in this nationwide celebration of dance.
