The Creative New Zealand Tup Lang Choreographic Award is accepting applications.


The Tup Lang Choreographic Award promotes and encourages choreography in New Zealand contemporary dance. Interest from a bequest made in 1999 by Mrs Octavia (Tup) Lang’s estate, contributes each year to this award. Special consideration will be given to emerging choreographers.

Previous recipients

Eliza Sanders, $7,490 to create a new show for the 2018 New Zealand Fringe Festival (2017).
Loughlan Prior, $2,400 to represent his work in Toronto in 2017 (2016).

The 2018 award will fund up to $7,500. Applications close 22 June.
