Do you still enjoy the Hip-hop and dance music you grew up listening too in the 80s & 90s? Come and take part in a workshop where basic moves to great music are taught. In this workshop, you’ll learn a short, easy choreography that’s much like the popular dancehall  style. The movements in class will be straightforward, low impact and accessible to all.

I have been teaching dance fitness to adults in the Tasman region for several years and am an NZ registered exercise professional (REPs).

As an X-Generation individual, I’ve had a lifetime of listening to a wide range of music including Dance, Trance, Acid house, Hip-hop, Grunge, Dub, Punk & other club music. As I approach 50 years of age I still have the same enthusiasm to play and move to these beats. And I know I’m not alone in this. Dancehall (also Reggaeton, Soca, Flamenco etc) has become the focus of my dance instruction in recent years, specialising in choreographies for adults who have little or no dance training or experience.

As the Dancehall genre becomes more popular, I hope people of any background can feel able to take part. I wish to make Dancehall moves accessible to anyone, any age with a keeness to give it a go.
