Dancers' Health and Safety

The benefits of dance for mental, cultural, and physical well being are well known. DANZ has supported initiatives that have emerged over the years to encourage and facilitate dance across the professional, educational and recreational sectors. Regardless of the area of dance that you are involved in, its really important that safe dance practice is followed. This includes:

  • day to day health and well being for the dancers
  • an appropriate venue/space to dance/rehearse in
  • preparing and maintaining your body before and after you dance
