The Royal Academy of Dance Australia seeks an exceptional Regional Coordinator to join our busy exams and student events team.

The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) is a global leader in dance education and teaching, driving excellence in the development of dance worldwide. The RAD’s renowned classical ballet examination syllabus is taught to thousands of young people in Australia and worldwide, with over 20,000 students per year undertaking exams across Australia. About the role

The Regional Coordinator, Queensland is an integral member of our team, supporting and contributing to the successful and smooth delivery of RAD exams and student activities and events across this important region. You will work closely with the Regional Manager, Queensland and a network of regional managers and exams staff, freelance and event staff, and volunteers to administer and deliver ballet exam tours, student competitions, courses and events and other RAD activities within Queensland. Externally you will liaise and work collaboratively with teachers, examiners, Regional Advisory Panels and other key stakeholders to meet student and teacher needs and ensure RAD activities are delivered to the highest standards.

About you

Our ideal candidate will have a background and experience in administration and event/program coordination, within a performing arts, membership or not-for-profit setting. To succeed in this role you will be energetic and flexible, with a strong customer-service focus. You will have excellent communication skills, high attention to detail and be a comfortable managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and assisting others to achieve best outcomes.

You will be located in Brisbane and comfortable with a home-based work environment. This role requires some work out of hours, including weekends at times for major events. Travel within Queensland will be required on occasion where requested. Interstate travel may be requested at times for national activities once travel restrictions allow.

To be eligible for this position, applicants must have existing Australian work rights. Persons undertaking this role will require a Working with Children Check and may be subject to a National Police Check.
