A cultural group dance requiring energy with synchronised movement. The dance is effective with a large group with precision timing. Sasa depicts every day activities and is generally performed in a sitting position but with modern times different formations can be added depending on the skill level of the dancers.
With this workshop students will gain an understanding of the history and cultural significance of the dance and specific Samoan movement and action. Students will have the opportunity to create their own movement to add to the choreography.
