Who Will Represent In Street Dance?

Hip hop is as hot as it gets when creative and dynamic dancers take to the stage to compete for the glorious top spot.

Vodafone Events Centre at Manukau will be action central when the best of the best battle it out in the hopes of making it through to the New Zealand regional finals in April.

The national winners will represent New Zealand at the world hip hop event in Las Vegas, Nevada in August this year.

Auckland’s most talented dancers will represent their crews at the regional hip hop competition on February 27.

The high impact event includes performances from 26 of our top New Zealand hip hop dance crews.

The 2015 world hip hop champs, The Brada’s, will bring their high-energy dance moves and crews from the Palace Dance Studio in Penrose are always crowd favorites.

Hip hop dance crews around New Zealand have been motivated by the success of Kiwi global hip hop sensation Parris Goebel.

Street Dance New Zealand says, “Parris has influenced the world with her unique style of polyswagg. Her work ethic, creativity, personality and her commitment to pursuing her dreams and aspirations show the New Zealand hip hop community that it can be done."

“You can achieve your dreams if you work hard, train hard and are committed.”

Goebel gave an inspiring speech as the keynote speaker at the celebration dinner of the Prime Minister's Youth Programme earlier this month and at just 24 she has motivated young dancers all over the world.

Maybe the 2016 champion will go on to achieve such legendary status.

The explosive Street Dance NZ Auckland regional event is a sell out every year so don’t miss out on a ticket.

Finals start at 7pm, Saturday February 27 at Vodafone Events Centre, 770 Great South Road, Manukau.

Pre-event booked tickets cost$25 and door sales are $30.

On sale via TicketDirect.
