In Conversation With Frances Turner

Interviewed by Anton Carter, DANZ Chief Executive

Relocated from Washington DC to NZ in 1993, Frances Turner's involvement in the New Zealand arts scene extends back to Tempo Dance Festival, co-founding The New Zealand Dance Company (NZDC) and working with the partnership that presented Te Pō at the Auckland Arts Festival and NZ Festival immediately prior to her appointment at the Royal New Zealand Ballet as Executive Director.

Frances graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Accounting. Her initial career was in business with roles in strategy, financial management and project management and,most notably in NZ, she has worked for Ernst and Young and Carter Holt Harvey.
