The BRADAS of IDENTITY COMPANY TAKE ON THE WORLD AND WIN GOLD !

THE BRADAS of Identity Company took out the GOLD medal in the adult section of the Hip Hop International World Finals in San Diego against 80 other teams from across the world .

The groups slick choreography and  undoubted skill were evident in their highly polished routine and made them favourites with the crowd and the judges.

This is only the second time New Zealand has qualified for the Hip Hop International Finals and taken home a GOLD medal in this division. REQUEST Dance Crew being the only other New Zealand crew to achieve this .

New Zealand's only other medal this year was Silver for the Royal Family in a very close final in the Megacrew division

This has been the third year that Identity Company has fundraised to send teams to the world competition.

Identity, the two  time New Zealand champions and 2013 and 2014 world silver medalists took a break this year from the competition  in order to support and encourage other company members.

The Bradas were all members of the Identity Company (IDCO) 2014 Worlds silver medal Megacrew.

The Bradas  choreographed and developed their own set for the competition and stuck to a rigorous training programme for  the last three months in preparation for this event.

IDCO director Josh Cesan said – "these guys have just taken their set to a whole new level, they are all sick dancers and have had the most amazing focus and discipline to achieve their dream and we are so proud of them."

IDCO also had  teams in the Varsity division (Masque)  and in the Junior section (Swagganauts). This was the first time the recently formed teams participated in an international competition. Both teams made semi-finals and ended up finishing in the top third of their divisions.

This has been a huge year for the company, having already traveled to San Diego earlier in the year after an invitation to appear at the prestigious Bodyrock event. And IDCO team Shique won the NZ Junior section in The World Of Dance Competition.Company director, Josh Cesan, will travel with IDCO members to assist them in the World Final of this competition in Los Angeles, 15-16 August.

IDCO have worked hard to bring their own unique style to the world and continue to have a commitment to develop young dancers and  give them an opportunity to shine on the world stage.
