Ferrymead Heritage Park and Tribaldiva Belly Dance Company have teamed up to bring you a fantastic Festival of Dance featuring workshops and performances from some of Christchurch's top local dance talent!

Adults and children are welcome to join in these 'taster' style workshops which are suitable for those new to each style as well as anyone wanting to have fun & brush up their skills.

In addition to dance workshops starting on the hour from 11am - 3pm there will also be dance performances, and live music all day so you can get your boogie on!

Workshop Schedule (full descriptions below): 
- 11am: Animation Hip Hop 
- 12pm: Merengue 
- 1pm: Rock'n'Roll 
- 2pm: Fusion Belly Dance 
- 3pm: African Dance

11am: Animation Hip Hop with Oliver 
Oliver will be teaching the basics of Animation Hip Hop. This will include gliding, slow motion, tutting, liquid popping , waves and musicality. @Oliverdance_tik

12pm: Merengue with Carrie Martin from Latin Addiction Dance Studio 
The easiest and most fun dance of the street Latin partner styles, Merengue is danced all over the world and at all Latin social parties and is hugely popular in both South and Central America on any dancefloor! http://www.latinaddiction.co.nz/

1pm: Rock'n'Roll with Christchurch Rock 'n' Roll Club 
You will be taught in a fun format, by experienced Rock'n'Roll Dancers. Come along and learn from one of the best dancers in NZ. https://www.christchurchrocknroll.org.nz/

2pm: Fusion Belly Dance with Tracey Saunders from Tribaldiva Belly Dance Company 
Modern Fusion Belly Dance with TribalDiva Belly Dance - come get your shimmy on with us! Learning belly dance with Tracey & TribalDiva is a great way to improve coordination, increase confidence and meet some awesome new friends. www.tribaldiva.co.nz

3pm: African Dance with Audrey Lu from Share in the Joy of African dance

Registrations are not required, just come along!

There will also be food vendors onsite so you can refuel after dancing up a storm.

All dance workshops will take place in the hall inside the Ferrymead Heritage Park, with dance performances and admission to the workshops included in the usual cost of admission to the park on the day:
