Do you want to use your time and energy to join a fun movement for positive social change?
StarJam is a fun, creative and positive not-for-profit organisation that is changing the way New Zealanders view disability by helping young people with disabilities unleash their potential through music.
We run weekly music based workshops throughout Auckland that support Jammers (young people with disabilities) to discover their unique talents in their own way and time. We're currently looking for a dance tutor to join our team.
This is a paid role that consists of:

  • Planning and facilitating a weekly dance workshop for up to 12 Jammers
  • Leading a team of up to 3 volunteers
  • Assisting in performance opportunities (gigs and concerts)
  • Reporting to and communicating with the Auckland Regional Programmes Coordinator

The workshop takes place in West Auckland on Monday evenings, 6.30pm-8pm during the school term.

“This is an organisation that brings joy to so many people, and it makes me proud to be involved in such a wonderful cause that is consistently inspiring.” – Jacinta, Volunteer.
